still in progress...

well, its been about 2 weeks since i've had access to the internet. i'm hoping to get it hooked up to our house sometime next week. we've had trouble getting service because apparently the people that lived there before us didn't like to pay their bills, so they marked our address as unserviceable. and it has been so hard to unpack with a newborn and zach! as my mother so eloquently put it, he is a "walking whirlwind that destroys everything he comes into contact with". i can't leave him alone, especially with the baby around! the other day we walked in and he had put his blanket over makenzie and was sitting on top of her in the bouncer. he was trying to cuddle with her, but was crushing her instead. he really loves her, and doesn't do anything to purposely try to hurt her, but doesn't understand the word "gentle" yet.

i'm going to learn how to put pictures on soon, too, so please be patient with me!

my first blog!

hey guys,

i just started a little blog with the help of my good friend lori. this is my first blog, hopefully i'll keep you updated on our family a little better. at first i may not post much. we are still trying to get settled into our new home in dallas, and we haven't hooked up our computer yet. its amazing how much stuff your find out that you have when you move! things are going well with makenzie too. she'll be 3 weeks on wednesday, i can't believe that it has already passed by so quickly! anyways, i'll hopefully be posting more soon.
