being silly

tonight the kids were playing together so well i just got out the camera and took a few pictures. nothing brings joy like when you hear your kids tell each other that they love them without any prompting from anyone. zach and kenzie love to cuddle together... i just wish it could be like this all day!!

random

a few random pics for you... somehow, my two girls have had very little hair for the first 2 years of their lives, while zach had an abundance of thick curls. anyways, here is my first attempt at pigtails for kenzie... she did good while i did it, but they didn't last super long, because as you can see, they are the smallest little tails you've ever seen!!
she sure did look cute, though. i can't wait till she'll flash her earth- shattering smile for the camera!
bath time is a favorite in our house.... all 3 take a bath together, and they have so much fun (you'd never know it by k's face here...)!zach my handsome boy.and for those of you who don't have a facebook account... here is what i look like right now. i've got 3 months left! stacy will deliver in a month...

great wolf lodge

this weekend we went t0 the great wolf lodge for 2 nights. it really is a great vacation for families. if you didn't want to, you would really never have to leave the grounds. there is tons of stuff to do for everyone.... a spa, (for moms and one for little girls!), a craft place, an arcade, a computer room, starbucks, restaurants, and lots more. but of course the main attraction is the water park, which was really spectacular. the kids just ate it up.... they had the time of their life. here are a few pictures of my little fishies... i really was amazed at how well audrey and zach were swimming! the kids area was so great with a couple of fun slides!
even kenzie went down them!
brian's attempt for a cute photo shoot... audrey is in a stage where she tries to be very proper or something...
and kenzie will rarely look at the camera or smile....
and of course zach just smiles away with his whole heart!
warming up in the hot tub with daddy.

having a blast in the hotel room. it will be a lot more fun to stay in one when kenzie is a little older... she completely freaks out when she wakes up and doesn't know where she is. needless to say, the first night was pretty sleepless for brian and i (and her). we were all tired the next night, which made for a better night. but i love this picture because it shows how much fun they all had!
in the kids area they had these for the kids to sit on ... they don't move, but they do spray people with water! love the sheer joy on zach's face.

ooooohhhhh, audrey....

here's a funny little conversation brian and audrey had the other day:

audrey was telling brian that a little boy had kissed her on the cheek at mothers day out the other day, and of course brian wasn't happy about it.

B: we don't kiss boys until we get married, right, audrey?

A: right.

B: and how old do you have to be before you get married?

A: 29

B: that's right, honey

(pause)

A: (excitedly)i know daddy! i've got a great idea!! i'll find the boy i want to marry, and then we'll just be roommates until i turn 29!

at this point, mommy jumps in

C: well, that's not how it works honey.........

potty training!

well, they say to start when the child is ready, but i don't think that i am! kenzie is only 21 months old... much younger than the other 2 were! but when brian got the potty down for her (because many days she refuses to wear clothes or a diaper), she loved it. she loves to sit on the potty! i mean, look at that face! and this is the child that doesn't like her picture taken. she has gone a few times in the potty and i try to make a big deal, but it is nothing consistent. this is possibly the part she really likes- wiping and throwing it into the potty and flushing.... sorry you can see zach's feet on the potty as he pooped. they had a great time going potty together.

meet our baby girl!

i had my sonogram today... the whole time we were in there zach was chanting, "boy, boy, boy, boy..." i wish we had had the camera out when we told him it was a girl! he just burst into tears and said,"no! i wanted a boy! i want a boy!" it was pretty heartbreaking. he got over it pretty quick, though. everything looks good on the sono, if you look really closely at this one of her foot, you can count her 5 toes! i love this one of her face. her features are so clearly there! although i am very excited, i'll admit that i was a little sad that it wasn't another boy. i have a special bond with zach, and wanted another little guy. but, like zach, the feeling quickly passed, and i am so thankful that she is fully formed and healthy!! the Lord has been so gracious to us!

doogoland

today we tried a new place called doogoland. it was pretty fun, the kids enjoyed it a lot. it had several little rooms for the kids to run around and play in- it was good for imaginative play. i don't know that we will go back because it was pretty pricey for just a drop in play time, but since it was so new, we were the only ones there (with my friend lisa and her 2 little ones) so we had the run of the whole place. this is the grocery store room, the kids loved this one. zach went straight for the capri suns!
and my good girl kenzie filled her cart with fruit!
there was a small play area for the 2 and unders... kenzie kissing kyle!
i asked her to go sit by him, but she wanted to pose laying down instead!
molly, kyle, and kenz, driving a plush truck in the baby area.
the little slide in the baby area. she had so much fun chasing kyle around- they went down this slide countless times!
there was a room for dress up and fixing the doll head's hair!
there was a little room up some stairs with a doctor's area (you can see audrey laying on the bed and zach was "giving her a shot" in the background) and doctors coat and all the toys for doctors.
there was also a building area with lots of blocks and construction vests and hats to wear.
there was a fun kitchen area with lots of play food that you could cook and serve to your friends. of course with a chefs hat and coat!
zach and audrey's favorite part were these little ride on things you use your feet to make it go and to steer... they were riding for most of the time!
he loved them!!
there was also a dentist's room, a tea room, a huge slide, a car garage, and some good rooms for parties!
